Let's Batch a Cocktial
Created by Carl Busch
After 15+ years behind the bar, I've batched more cocktails than I can count. Whether you're prepping for a wedding, a party, or just want to have cocktails ready for guests, this calculator takes the math out of the equation.
This isn't just a simple multiplier—it handles the tricky stuff too. Calculate by ingredient amounts when you have limited stock, scale to exact volumes for your containers, and include proper dilution for stirred or shaken cocktails.

Pro Tips for Batching Cocktails
📦 Know Your Bottles
Standard spirit bottles are 750ml (25.36 oz). If you're calculating by ingredient and using a full bottle, select "bottle (750ml)" from the units. The calculator will tell you exactly how many drinks you can make.
🎯 Plan for Waste
Always batch about 10% more than you need. There's always waste from pouring, testing, and that one friend who needs a "sample." Better to have too much than run out mid-party.
❄️ Pre-Batch Storage
Most spirit-forward cocktails can be batched 1-2 weeks ahead if refrigerated. Citrus drinks should be made day-of or the day before. Never batch egg white drinks—those need to be shaken fresh.
🥃 Serving Pre-Batched Drinks
For stirred drinks (Manhattans, Old Fashioneds), pour over ice and stir briefly. For shaken drinks without egg whites, you can pour straight from the fridge into an ice-filled shaker, give it a quick shake, and strain. Always garnish fresh when serving.
